WakeProof Privacy Policy

Data we collect
- WakeProof does not collect or transmit personal data to the developer or third parties.
- Data that stays on your device is not sent to developer-controlled servers.
- Some Apple frameworks and device capabilities, such as Speech Recognition, HealthKit, Camera, Vision, Motion and Fitness, and NFC, may process or expose data according to Apple's system permissions and privacy terms.
- Speech Recognition uses on-device processing when available; otherwise audio may be processed by Apple's Speech Recognition services.
App Store privacy label
- The App Store privacy label for this build should answer that the developer does not collect data.
- This answer depends on the app continuing to have no developer-controlled analytics, crash reporting, advertising SDK, support upload, backend sync, or other network upload path.
- If a future build adds any developer or third-party data collection, update this policy, App Store Connect privacy answers, and `PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy` before upload.
Data and device access
- AlarmKit: used to schedule system alarms you create.
- Microphone + Speech Recognition: used only when you choose the speech challenge. The app requests on-device recognition when available; audio may be processed by Apple’s Speech Recognition services depending on device capabilities and settings.
- HealthKit: used only when you choose the Stand or roll challenge to read Apple Watch stand-hour or roll-hour samples. The app doesn’t write data to HealthKit.
- Camera and Vision: used only when you choose the QR room-check, Body pose, or Object check challenge. Frames and Vision classification labels stay on device and are not saved or uploaded.
- Motion and Fitness: used only when you choose the Steps mission. Step counts stay on device and are not used for advertising or tracking.
- NFC: used only while the NFC tag mission is active and the app is open. Tag text stays on device.
Data sharing
- WakeProof does not sell your data. It does not use or disclose Apple Health data for advertising, marketing, profiling, tracking, or data mining.
- The app does not disclose HealthKit data to third parties. Any future third-party HealthKit sharing would require express permission, a health or fitness purpose, and updated App Store privacy answers before upload.
Data retention and deletion
- Your alarms, settings, pet trust proof progress, and confirmed emergency sound-stop fallback audit are stored on-device.
- To delete this data, use the in-app delete action (Settings > Delete all alarms and settings), or uninstall the app.
Revoking consent
- You can change or revoke Alarm access in iOS Settings.
- You can change or revoke Microphone and Speech Recognition access in iOS Settings.
- You can change or revoke Health access in iOS Settings or the Health app (depending on iOS version).
- You can change or revoke Camera and Motion and Fitness access in iOS Settings.
- Body pose and Object check run only while the active challenge is visible and stop camera capture and Vision processing when you leave the mission.
- NFC scans run only during an active foreground scan session. You can stop scanning by leaving the mission or closing the app.
